Privacy
A short, plain-language summary of what this site does — and doesn't — do with your data. Last updated April 2026.
Almost nothing
This is a personal portfolio. There are no analytics, no advertising trackers, no third-party tracking pixels, and no contact forms that store data on a server. If you want to reach me, you do it via the email or social links — those open in your own client.
Theme + motion preferences
If you toggle Dark / Light in the top bar, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage under the key atlas:theme so the site remembers next time. This is purely functional — it never leaves your device, and it isn't a tracking cookie. You can clear it anytime from your browser settings.
What loads from elsewhere
Fonts are self-hosted on this server — your browser does not contact Google Fonts or any other CDN to render this page.
If a project page embeds a YouTube video, the embed uses YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), which doesn't set tracking cookies until you press play. If you do press play, YouTube's standard terms apply.
Outbound links to itch.io, GitHub, and LinkedIn only load those services when you click them. At that point you are on their site, under their privacy practices.
Standard hosting logs
The host serving this site keeps standard access logs — IP address, requested URL, user-agent, timestamp — for security and debugging. Under GDPR this is a legitimate interest basis. Logs are retained briefly and not used for any analytical or commercial purpose.
Access, correction, erasure
Under GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or erasure of any personal data I hold about you. Since this site collects almost nothing, in practice this means asking me to scrub server-log entries that match your IP. Email hello@ekeegan.com and I'll handle it within a reasonable timeframe.
If you are unsatisfied with how a request is handled, you may complain to your national data protection authority. In Denmark, that is Datatilsynet.
